Ralston, NE - USA Hockey released its roster for the World Junior A Challenge Tuesday morning. Lancer forward Brannon McManus was selected to represent the USA in the tournament that runs December 11-17 in Bonnyville, Alberta.

"It's a great honor for Brannon," said head coach Brian Kaufman. "We're really proud of him to be able to represent himself, his family, and our organization on an international stage like this."

The selection comes after McManus represented Team USA at this summers' Ivan Hlinka Tournament. McManus recorded one assist in four games during the tournament.

"It means a lot to me," said McManus. "It's an opportunity to show what I can do against the world's best. But more importantly to pull on the USA jersey and represent my country, and everyone who's supported me in Omaha and back home. I'm looking forward to bringing home a medal in December."

McManus has recorded 11 points (6g, 5a) in 17 games for the Lancers so far this season.

The Lancers host Des Moines on Wednesday night at Ralston Arena. Puck drop set for 7:05 pm. Tickets still available at www.homepridetix.com
