Modesto, CA. - For the second straight night, the Modesto Nuts offense was held in check during a 4-1 loss against the San Jose Giants on Sunday night at John Thurman Field.
Jose Reyes (W, 1-4) tossed his best start of the year for the Giants (40-47; 10-7). The righty worked into the ninth inning and allowed just a solo home run to Ryan McMahon. He struck out seven and did not walk a batter.
Antonio Senzatela (L, 5-5) tossed six innings and allowed a season-high ten hits leading to four runs. Christian Arroyo drove in a pair of runs. Angel Villalona whacked a RBI double. Brandon Bednar went 3-for-4 with a RBI.
Devin Burke tossed well out of the bullpen working three scoreless innings and giving up just two hits.
