McDonald's High School Basketball Players of the Month Announced

FORT WAYNE, IN (December 14, 2012) - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants and McDonald's have partnered to recognize two outstanding high school basketball players in the Fort Wayne community. In November, McDonald's and the Mad Ants selected Trent Van Horn and Hayley Martin as the McDonald's High School Players of the Month. Both players will be recognized during the Mad Ants home game this Friday, December 14.

Trent Van Horn, senior at Canterbury High School has averaged 30 points per game so far this season. Following the 2011-12 season, Trent was named to the All-Northeast Indiana Basketball Team after averaging 22 points per game and leading his team to semi-state. He scored his 1,000th point earlier this year against Eastside High School during a 34 point performance.

Hayley Martin, junior at DeKalb High School is a key player for the Lady Baron team. After seven games this season, she is averaging 17.6 points, 14 rebounds, 4.3 blocks, and 2.3 steals per game.

The Mad Ants take on the Maine Red Claws this Friday, December 14, 7:30 pm at the Memorial Coliseum.
