
McDonald's and Mad Ants Team up to Recognize High School Athletes

Fort Wayne, IN (April 4th, 2012) - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants have partnered with Fort Wayne-area McDonald's restaurants to present the McDonald'sR High School Players of the Month. For the month of March, McDonald's and the Mad Ants have selected Josh VanMeter and Jessica Rupright, both from Norwell High School. They will be recognized at the Mad Ants game this Saturday, April 7th at half-time.
Josh, a junior at Norwell High School, helped Norwell reach the runner up spot in the State Class 3A Finals. This season Josh averaged 18.7 points per game and 5.5 assists per game.
Jessica, a senior at Norwell High School, was awarded Miss Basketball for the 2011-2012 season. For her career she averaged 17 points per game and 8 rebounds per game. She plans to play her college basketball at Miami of Ohio.
The Mad Ants take on the Dakota Wizards this Friday, April 6th and Saturday, April 7th for their final two home games of the season at the Memorial Coliseum. Both games tip off at 7:30pm EST.
