
Bighorns Downed by D-Fenders

RENO, NEV.- The Reno Bighorns visited the first-place Los Angeles D-Fenders with an eight-man roster Wednesday night, putting up a strong effort but eventually falling short, 111-98. Eric Devendorf led the Bighorns with a season-high 26 points on 8-of-11 shooting and adding three steals, while Antoine Wright had 21 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. The D-Fenders were paced by Elijah Millsap's 32 points.
The Bighorns used strong three-point shooting in the first half to keep the game close, going into halftime notched 51-51 after scoring 31 second quarter points. But the D-Fenders eventually clamped down on defense, holding the Bighorns to 47 second half points and scoring on numerous transition opportunities. The Bighorns shot 43.4 percent from the field, including 41.2 percent on three-pointers.
Mo Charlo posted the game's only double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds and David Harrison scored 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting. Will Blalock played over 45 minutes in the game and had 12 points, seven assists and seven rebounds.
The Bighorns now travel to Rio Grande Valley to play their final two games of the season against the Vipers on April 6 and 7 at the State Farm Arena.
