FARGO, ND - The Kansas City T-Bones won a pitcher's duel Tuesday night against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 5-2 at Newman Outdoor Field. T-Bones starter RHP Cody McAllister pitched 7.0 innings, gave-up two runs (all earned) and fanned eight for his eighth win of the season.

In the fourth-inning, T-Bones CF Aharon Eggleston broke up RedHawks starter RHP Matt Mossey's perfect-game with a seeing-eye-single. LF Damian Rolls singled Eggleston to second and clean-up hitter DH Luis Terrero mopped-up with a two-run double to open the scoring.

In the fifth, RedHawks 3B Jeremiah Piepkorn spoiled McAllister's no-hitter, but the RedHawks weren't able to manufacture a run.

In the seventh, Terrero poked a ball through the right-hole for a leadoff single. 1B Jim Fasano drew a walk and C Craig Hurba blistered a ball past the hot corner for the T-Bones second two-run double of the game. 2B Neb Brown fisted a ball to right and the T-Bones chased Mossey who was lifted in favor of RHP Yosandy Ibanez.

The RedHawks got on the board in the seventh. Piepkorn dashed McAllister's shutout-bid with his second home run in as many games and the RedHawks crept within four.

RedHawks RF Mike Coles singled off the lip of the infield grass and reached second on a hit-and-run single by SS Zach Penprase. The RedHawks benefited from a passed ball and Coles crossed home plate on a wild pitch by LHP Payton Tweddale.

The RedHawks were unable to rally in the ninth as T-Bones RHP Nate Cotton pitched a 1-2-3 inning to close out the game.

The RedHawks and T-Bones play the third game of this four-game series tomorrow at Newman Outdoor Field. Southpaw Jeff Icenogle will toe the rubber for the RedHawks and RHP Dustin Bolton will get the ball for the T-Bones. Game time is 7:02 p.m.
