Mayhem To Play Another Three-In-Three

MACON, GA- After playing just one game - a 4-3 road loss to the Columbus Cottonmouths, the Macon Mayhem are set to play three games in three days, with two games against the Columbus Cottonmouths and one against the Knoxville Ice Bears.

WEEKEND RECAP

The Mayhem's comeback on Saturday night came up short, as they fell to the Columbus Cottonmouths 4-3 on a goal in the final minutes.

Macon trailed 3-1 in the third period, but they tied the game up with goals from Jake Trask and Stathis Soumelidis. Cottonmouths forward Chad Brears scored at the 16:04 mark in the third period to give the Snakes the win.

Stephen Pierog was the only player to tally multiple points in the game for the Mayhem - recording two assists.

COLUMBUS COTTONMOUTHS PREVIEW

After taking their first regulation loss of the season against the Cottonmouths this past weekend, the Mayhem will now face Columbus for the final two times this season. The Mayhem are now 4-1-1 against the Snakes on the season. Columbus went 1-1-0 this past weekend, losing to the Knoxville Ice Bears on Friday before defeating Macon on Saturday.

Keegan Bruce scored his 22nd goal of the season on Saturday and leads the team in goals and points (36). Andy Bathgate leads the team in assists, as he picked up his 25th of the season in their last game. Third on their scoring list is defenseman Petr Senkerik, who has eight goals and 18 assists in 39 games.

Mavric Parks started in net for Columbus on Saturday, saving 35 of the 38 shots he faced against the Mayhem. He is now 2-3-1 with a 3.78 goals against average (GAA) and a .889 save percentage (SV%). Spencer Bacon has played 13 games, going 5-7-0 with a 3.25 GAA and a .914 SV%.

KNOXVILLE ICE BEARS PREVIEW

After two games against Columbus on Friday and Saturday, Knoxville will travel to Macon for a Sunday afternoon game. This is the final meeting of the season for the two teams, and the Mayhem are 3-1-0 to this point.

The Ice Bears are 3-1-1 over their past five games, going 1-1-0 this past weekend against the Huntsville Havoc and 1-0-0 against the Cottonmouths.

Berkley Scott and Danny Cesarz are their two offensive leaders, as they have 39 points and 38 points, respectively. Scott is tied with Jake Rivera for the team-lead in goals with 15, while Cesarz leads the team in assists with 33.

Brian Billett has made the most starts in net for the Ice Bears, as he has played in 28 games - going 15-7-4 with a 2.97 GAA and a .911 SV%. Dylan Wells has also earned his fair share of time in goal for Knoxville, playing in 18 games - going 4-6-2 with a 2.66 GAA and a .916 SV%.
