Mayhem Sign Goaltender Troy Passingham

MACON, GA- After loaning goaltender Garrett Bartus to the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL on Monday, the Macon Mayhem and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kerr announced Tuesday afternoon the signing of goaltender Troy Passingham.
The Mississauga, Ontario native has played six games for the Danville Dashers of the Federal Hockey League this season, recording a 2.57 goals against average (GAA) and a .926 save percentage (SV%). Prior to his time in the FHL, the 26-year-old played five seasons for Ryerson University of Canadian Interuniversity Sport and two seasons in the Ontario Hockey League for the Windsor Spitfires and the Sarnia Sting. The 6-5, 220-pound goaltender played 53 games for Windsor in 2009-2010, helping the team win the Canadian Hockey League's Memorial Cup.
"Troy has been the top goalie in the Federal Hockey League so far this season," said Assistant Coach Leo Thomas. "He's a big kid who gives you very little space to shoot, and we think that he can come up here and contribute to our team right away."
Passingham will be in a Mayhem uniform for the first time at the Macon Coliseum this Friday, December 2nd at 7:35 PM against the Fayetteville FireAntz.
