Macon Mayhem News Release

MACON, GA- The Macon Mayhem set a team single-game attendance record last Saturday night against the Knoxville Ice Bears. The attendance to Saturday night's game - the first home appearance in nearly a month - was 3,637, the highest mark for the team in its first two seasons in Macon.

"The Mayhem are very excited with the attendance on Saturday night. The atmosphere inside the arena was fun and exciting, and it was unbelievable to be a part of," said Director of Game Day Operations Blair Floyd. "We are extremely happy with the support we are getting from the fans. We want to make the Macon Mayhem a mainstay in Middle Georgia and hope to make this one of the most hostile environments in the SPHL."

The substantial increase in attendance also created several solvable problems for the team and the Macon Coliseum, such as parking delays and long concessions lines. The Macon Mayhem and the Macon Coliseum met this week to discuss fan-related customer service upgrades, and the two organizations are working closely together to improve the fan experience at upcoming Macon Mayhem home games.

"We are very appreciative of the increase in fan interest and care very much about making their game experience a great one. It's our top priority," Floyd added.

The Macon Mayhem remains home at the Macon Coliseum for this Friday January 27, against the Pensacola Ice Flyers. Single game tickets are on sale through the Macon Coliseum Box Office, and group tickets are available through the Macon Mayhem Front Office. For ticket information, please visit the Mayhem's official website at MaconMayhem.com or call the main office line at (478) 803-1592.
