Macon Mayhem News Release
The Macon Mayhem handed the Fayetteville FireAntz just their second loss of the season in a rousing 4-3 win at the Macon Coliseum Saturday night.
Shawn Skelly, Mike Montrose, Michael Montagna, and Lucas LaBelle all scored for the Mayhem. Connor Toomey chipped in with a pair of assists as did Anton Lennartsson, in his first game with the Mayhem.
Joseph Manno scored twice for Fayetteville (including a first period penalty shot) and his two goals gave Fayetteville a 2-1 lead at the 7:07 mark of the third period. The Mayhem rallied for three straight, before Josh McQuade rounded out the scoring for Fayetteville with 11:15 left in the third period.
Fayetteville pulled goaltender Parker Van Buskirk, but the Mayhem, backstopped by goaltender Garrett Bartus weathered the storm. Macon now embarks on a five game road trip starting Friday at Peoria.
The next home game for the Mayhem will be Friday December 11 also against Fayetteville.
