Sylvia Fowles tallied her second-straight 20+ point game, with 20 points to go along with nine rebounds and two steals. With her first rebound of the night, Fowles (currently 2,434) passed Lisa Leslie (2,425) to become the WNBA career leader in defensive rebounds.
Fowles also grabbed her 1000th career offensive rebound making her the fourth player in WNBA history to grab 1000+ offensive rebounds, joining Rebekkah Brunson (1166), Taj McWilliams-Franklin (1062) and Yolanda Griffith (1049).
Tonight marked Fowles' 350th career game making her the second-fastest player to record 1000+ offensive rebounds, only Yolanda Griffith surpassed the mark quicker (289 games).
In 28:13 minutes off the bench, Crystal Dangerfield registered a team-high 22 points on 10-of-16 shooting, becoming the 11th Lynx player off the bench to score 20+ points and the fourth Lynx player off the bench to make 10+ field goals. The 22 points are the most points by a Lynx reserve player since Candice Wiggins had 25 at Tulsa on Jul.10, 2012.
Dangerfield also dished out six assists making her the first Lynx player off the bench to have 20+ points and 5+ assists.
Aerial Powers notched 10 points, five rebounds and six assists marking her first career 10+ points/5+ rebound/5+ assists game.
Team Notes
Minnesota outperformed Seattle in points in the paint 40-26. During the 2020 season, the Lynx scored 40+ paint points on five occasions.
Storm Notes
Jewell Loyd finished the night with a game-high 23 points, connecting on a career-high-tying five threes.
Jordin Canada went 12-of-14 from the free-throw line the 14th time in WNBA history a player has had 12+ made free throws off the bench and the first for Seattle.
