CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky waived Brittany Boyd-Jones, the team announced today.
Boyd-Jones joined the roster ahead of the season opener against the Mystics courtesy of the WNBA emergency hardship exception.
Prior to her stint with Chicago, Boyd-Jones played five seasons with the New York Liberty. She was selected ninth overall in the 2015 draft, after a standout career at California in which she was named a Naismith College Player of the Year semifinalist and became the first player in the history of the Pac-12 Conference to reach career totals of 1,400 points, 700 rebounds, 600 assists and 300 steals.
The Sky host the New York Liberty in its first home game of the 2021 season on Sunday, May 23 at 12:00p CT from Wintrust Arena in Chicago.
