Sylvia Fowles finished the night with 26 points and 11 rebounds for her second-straight double-double of the season. Tonight's performance also extends her WNBA record to 169 career double-doubles. Her 26 points were enough for her to overtake Lindsay Whalen (5523) for 17th on the WNBA scoring leaderboard.

With her 11th rebound, Fowles (1,590) passed Maya Moore (1,589) for second on the Lynx franchise rebound leader board. She now only trails Rebekkah Brunson (2,158).

With her ninth defensive rebound of the night, Fowles brings her total career defensive rebounds 2425, tying Lisa Leslie for the most defensive rebounds in WNBA history.

In 31:50 minutes of play, Kayla McBride scored 16 points and connected on a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line. She has now scored 15+ points in back-to-back games with the Lynx.

In 18:26 minutes off the bench, Jessica Shepard put up 12 points and grabbed six rebounds, marking her first career 10+ points/5+ rebounds game of her career.

Team Notes

With the loss tonight, Minnesota moves to 0-2 for the first time since 2007, when they started the season 0-7.

The Lynx edged the Liberty in points in the paint (38-30) and second chance points (14-12).

Liberty Notes

Sabrina Ionescu tallied her first career triple-double with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists, becoming the youngest player in WNBA history to score a triple-double.
