Tuesday, February 2 - Missouri Mavericks vs. Colorado Eagles, 7:05 p.m. CST

Missouri hosts the Eagles in the fifth game of the season between the teams. Colorado has won the previous four games by a combined score of 23-9 including a 5-1 win over the Mavericks in their last matchup on New Year's Eve. Missouri has scored the first goal in two of the four meetings, but has failed to hold on. Nick Sirota has four goals in four games for the Mavericks against Colorado. Ed McGrane (4-4=8), Kevin Ulanski (4-4=8) and Ryan McLeod (2-6=8) all lead the Eagles in scoring against Missouri with eight points each.

Missouri currently trails the Oilers by one point in the Northern Conference standings and the teams will faceoff for a weekend set at Independence Events Center. Missouri is 3-2-1 against Tulsa this season and is coming off a convincing 6-3 win in the last meeting. The Oilers and Mavericks will most likely battle for the playoffs throughout the rest of the regular season, and the two teams will meet a total of six more times this season. Mavericks' forward Jeff Christian leads the Mavericks in scoring against his former team with six points on three goals and three assists in three games.

Tuesday, January 26 - Missouri 6 at Tulsa 3
The Missouri Mavericks ended their three-game losing streak Tuesday night with a convincing 6-3 win over the Tulsa Oilers at BOK Center. Missouri (18-19-3) pulled into a tie for fifth place in the Northern Conference standings with the Oilers at 39 points each. Six different Mavericks scored goals and four of the goals were scored via special teams including a team-tying three power play goals. Mavericks' goaltender Gerry Festa earned his first win of the season stopping 29 of 32 shots on goal and improved his record to 1-1-0.
Friday, January 29 - Missouri 2 vs. Rapid City 5
The Missouri Mavericks were defeated by the Rapid City Rush, 5-2, Friday night in front of a sold out crowd of 5,728 at Independence Events Center. Scott Wray, Brendan Cook and Les Reaney each had a goal and an assist for the Rush who finished the season going 5-0-0 against Missouri. Rapid City goaltender Danny Battochio stopped 33 of 35 shots for his 16th win of the season. Braden Walls and Jeff Christian scored the two goals for Missouri who fell to 18-20-3 on the season.
Saturday, January 30 - Missouri 3 vs. Allen 0
Goaltender Gerry Festa and the Missouri Mavericks shutout the Allen Americans Saturday night, 3-0, in front of another sold out crowd of 5,800 fans at Independence Events Center. Festa stopped all 25 shots faced in his second win with Missouri and first shutout victory. The Mavericks now have four shutouts on the season and improved their overall record to 19-20-3. Mike Burgoyne, Jeff MacDermid and Braden Walls scored for the Mavericks.
Notes
Specialty Jerseys - The Mavericks will wear pink jerseys Saturday, February 6 against the Tulsa Oilers. The jerseys will be auctioned off directly following the game and a portion of proceeds will benefit Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity.
Governor Nixon - Missouri Governor Jay Nixon will attend Tuesday night's game against the Colorado Eagles. The Governor will also drop the ceremonial first puck.
Visor Clips - Silverstein Eye Centers will give away 5,000 visor clips at the game on Friday night against the Oilers.

Sunday, February 7 Bret Tyler and Karl Sellan will be at the Price Chopper at 896 S. 291 Highway, Liberty, MO 64068 from 1-3 p.m. and Tommy Lange and Kyle Bochek will be at 3700 W. 95th St., Leawood, KS 66206 from 1-3 p.m.
