
Mavericks to Announce Next Player Signing on Twitter

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - Missouri Mavericks' President and General Manager Brent Thiessen announced today the Central Hockey League (CHL) team will announce the next player signing on team's official Twitter page (www.twitter.com/MissouriMavs ) promptly at noon on Friday, August 6.
The Mavericks will tweet clues about the signing throughout the morning on August 6. Fans are encouraged to follow the Mavericks at www.twitter.com/MissouriMavs throughout the season. After the player is announced at noon, the Mavericks will release an official press release later in the afternoon.
"We are excited to release our next player through Twitter," said Thiessen. "We believe social networking plays a significant role in our business and we will continue to incorporate social media into our everyday business functions."
The new player will be the 12th player signed for the 2010-11 season. Missouri currently has eight forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender signed for their second season of play.
The Missouri Mavericks will begin their second season in the Central Hockey League on October 15, 2010 against the Odessa Jackalopes at 7:05 p.m. The Mavericks play their home games at the state-of-the-art Independence Events Center where parking is always free.
