
Mavericks recall Pops Mensah-Bonsu from D-League

DALLAS-The Dallas Mavericks recalled forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu today from the Fort Worth Flyers of the NBA D-League. Mensah-Bonsu (6-9, 240) was originally assigned to Fort Worth on December 7. He played in 19 games for the Eastern Division-leading Flyers and averaged 15.2 points points, 11.3 rebounds and 1.47 blocks in 31.9 minutes per game. The former George Washington University standout will also participate in the inaugural Gillette D-League All-Star Game in Las Vegas on February 17. Mensah-Bonsu, who was signed as a free agent on August 3, 2006, has played in only one game for the Mavericks this season (vs. Washington, 11/21/06).
