Colorado 14ers News Release
The Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League have acquired guard Jason McKrieth to fill the roster spot vacated when the Utah Jazz made forward Louis Amundson the ninth GATORADE Call-Up of this season earlier this week.
McKrieth played in seven games with the Los Angeles D-Fenders this season between being acquired on Dec. 29 and being waived on Jan. 26, averaging 3.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 13.4 minutes per game.
From Schenectady, N.Y., McKrieth (6-4, 210), played in 33 games as a senior at Rice, averaging 33.2 minutes, 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists and was an All-Conference USA selection. Following his collegiate career, McKrieth played in the preseason for Pinar Karsiyaka in Turkey, but did not play in a regular season game.
He is expected to be in uniform tonight when the 14ers (19-8) are host to the Austin Toros (13-16) at the Broomfield Event Center.
