Bucks Make Reiner 10th Gatorade Call-Up This Season

GREENVILLE, S.C., Feb. 8, 2007 - The Milwaukee Bucks have signed Sioux Falls Skyforce center Jared Reiner to a 10-day contract, General Manager Larry Harris announced today. Reiner is expected to be in uniform tonight as the Bucks take on the Hornets in Oklahoma City.

Reiner, who was named to the NBA Development League Eastern Division All-Star Team this week, has appeared and started in 28 games for the Skyforce this season, averaging 13.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 31.9 minutes per game. He ranks fourth among active players in the D-League in rebounds per game. He led his University of Iowa team in rebounding (8.3 pg) as a junior before missing a substantial portion of his senior season due to injury.

Undrafted out of Iowa, the 24-year-old appeared in 19 games with the Chicago Bulls during the 2004-05 season. He averaged 1.1 points and 2.0 rebounds in 6.9 minutes per game. He also spent time in training camp with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2005 and played for the Seattle Sonics in the 2006 Rocky Mountain Revue, averaging 5.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 15.8 minutes over six games. Most recently, Reiner was signed by the San Antonio Spurs in October of 2006 and appeared in three preseason games prior to being waived.

Reiner is the D-League's 10th GATORADE call-up this season and the 77th since the league's inception in 2001.

Expansion teams in Utah and the Rio Grande Valley in Texas have also been announced to begin play in the 2007-08 season.
