Mavericks Game in Rapid City Postponed to Tomorrow
April 9, 2013 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Kansas City Mavericks News Release
RAPID CITY, South Dakota - A spring blizzard moving through the northern plains and the state of South Dakota has forced the postponement of Game 6 of the Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Opening Round series between the Rapid City Rush and the Missouri Mavericks.
The game was originally scheduled for tonight (Tuesday, April 9) with Game 7, if necessary, scheduled for Wednesday, April 10 but with the treacherous road conditions, high winds, freezing temperatures and snow accumulations in Rapid City, each game has been pushed back one day. Game 6 will now take place on Wednesday, April 10 and a potential Game 7 will take place on Thursday, April 11. Both games will face-off at 6:35 PM MT at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
The Mavericks currently lead the best-of-7 series, three games to two, and the winner of the series will advance to the CHL Semifinals to face the Allen Americans with Game 1 of that series scheduled for Sunday, April 14 in Allen. Should the Mavericks advance, they will play their home games on April 17, 19 and 20. For more information on the Missouri Mavericks call (816) 252-7825 or visit www.MissouriMavericks.com.
