Rush vs. Mavs Game 6 & Potential Game 7 Postponed

(Rapid City, SD) - The Rapid City Rush, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League and Missouri Mavericks, have announced the postponement of Game 6 of the Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Opening Round series. A spring blizzard has brought treacherous road conditions, high winds, freezing temperatures and snow accumulations to the Black Hills, which has pushed each game back one day. Game 6 will now take place on Wednesday, April 10th, and a potential Game 7 will take place on Thursday, April 11th. Both games will face-off at 6:35 PM MT at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center, and tickets are available at gotmine.com or 716-7825.
"With the inclement weather in Rapid City and the surrounding areas, postponing tonight's game was the correct thing to do," said Rush General Manger Tim Hill. "Our top priority is the safety of our loyal fans, Civic Center and team staff, players, and everybody that is involved. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to ensure that today. The CHL and
Missouri Mavericks organization shared our concern, and with that, we have decided postponing the game is safest for all parties involved."
The game was originally scheduled for tonight (Tuesday, April 9th) with Game 7, if necessary, scheduled for Wednesday, April 10th.
The Mavericks currently lead the best-of-7 series, three games to two, and the winner of the series will advance to the Conference Semifinals to face the Allen Americans with Game 1 of that series scheduled for Sunday, April 14.
