
Mavericks Extend Win Streak to Six with 4-1 Victory over Americans

INDEPENDENCE, MO (Nov. 17, 2015) - The Missouri Mavericks expanded their win streak to six (6) on Tuesday night with a triumphant 4-1 victory over the Allen Americans at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. The win puts the Mavericks atop the ECHL standings with a total of twenty-three (23) points so far this season.

Mavericks rookie forward, Tanner Fritz, opened the scoreboard at 3:47 of the first period with a lone assist from Kane Lafranchise. The Americans answered back to tie the game at 7:17 when Tristan King scored with the help of Aaron Gens and Chad Costello on an Americans' man-advantage.
Missouri regained the lead at the top of the second frame when Lafranchise notched a quick tally past Allen net-minder Joel Rumpel only thirty-three (33) seconds into the period. Teammates Josh Holmstrom and Fritz assisted on the play.
The Mavs allowed the Americans only three (3) shots on goal through the second period, and entered the third frame leading 2-1. Missouri's aggressive game afforded them two (2) additional goals before the end of regulation.
An all-rookie line led Scott Allen to score his first professional goal at 4:35, giving the Mavs a 3-1 edge. Allen was assisted by Colin Markison and Tanner Fritz on the play.
Bryce Aneloski wrapped things up for the home team at 15:49 when he lit up Silverstein Eye Centers Arena one last time for a 4-1 Mavericks win. Trevor Ludwig and Rocco Carzo were credited with the helpers.
Missouri goaltender, Josh Robinson, improves to a record of 7-0-0-1 with the victory on Tuesday night. He currently leads the league with a .943 save percentage and a 1.36 goals-against average.
The Missouri Mavericks play their next two games on the road against the Tulsa Oilers and the Wichita Thunder on Friday, Nov. 20 and Saturday, Nov. 21 before they return home for a three-game holiday home-stand at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena when they host the Quad City Mallards on Wednesday, Nov. 25, Friday, followed by the Indy Fuel on Nov. 27, and Saturday, Nov. 28.
