LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts, in conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, announced that pitcher Matthew Johnson has been placed on the 7-day Disabled List retroactive to May 3rd and first baseman Kevin Patterson has been transferred to Lansing from the Dunedin Blue Jays (A-Advanced, Florida State League.

Johnson, 24, has a 0-0 record with a 7.71 ERA in nine appearances in his first year in the Midwest League.

Patterson, 24, batted .245 with 19 homers and 79 RBIs in 108 games with the Lugnuts in 2012. He was hitting .169 with zero home runs and nine RBIs in 22 games with the D-Jays this season.

The Lugnuts' roster now comprises 25 active players with eight players on the Disabled List.
