Matt Dibble Promoted as New Director of Scouting

The New Jersey Titans are excited to announce that Matt Dibble will serve as the team's director of scouting.

Dibble, a native of Buffalo, N.Y., previously served as the team's head scout and will now assume the position that was previously held by Gary Biggs. He spoke about his new position and how he will look to continue the team's success in scouting and recruiting new players.

"I am really thrilled to pick up right where Gary left off. He did a great job with our current tenders and identifying prospects for us. We will continue to build as we always have, with diligence and attention to detail," Dibble said.

Dibble also served under previous Director of Scouting and current head coach of the Corpus Christi IceRays, Ryan Cruthers. He spoke about the things he learned from his two predecessors and how it will benefit when he oversees a scouting team that covers most of the Eastern Region in the United States and parts of Canada.

"I think from my experience being a regional scout for the last four years under both Cruthers and Biggs, I understand the value each of our regional guys have and how important it is to communicate regularly with the staff. We have a great team of scouts, and the existing relationships I have with them will serve as a benefit to the organization," Dibble added.

Before joining New Jersey, Dibble served as a consultant for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights. Titans head coach and GM Craig Doremus spoke about Dibble working his way up the organization to his new position as Director of Scouting.

"We are thrilled to promote Matt as the new Director of Scouting. Matt has climbed the internal ladder in our scouting department and has worked long and hard to get to this point, while taking a lot of pride in our team and organization," Doremus said.

In addition to his work with the Titans, Dibble operates Roc City Elite Hockey, a summer program that competes in various events in the offseason. In 2018, Roc City won the Battle of Boston on a roster that consisted of many current Titans players. Doremus spoke about Dibble's work in the New York area that has resulted in players succeeding with the Titans before moving on to NCAA programs.

"Matt has already had his impact seen on our roster with a number of Western New York players, among players from his Roc City program. Matt has connected with many of our current players and is an integral part of our team," he said. "We are truly excited about the future of our team and greatly look forward to our draft and next season."
