LAKEWOOD, NJ - Malvin Matos' walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th gave the BlueClaws a 4-3 win over Charleston on Wednesday night at FirstEnergy Park.

Matos, who gave Lakewood their sixth walk-off win of the season, brought home Seth Lanccaster with the winning run. Lancaster had stolen second with two outs to move into scoring position. The BlueClaws (12-20/41-60) have taken the first two in the series from Charleston (13-20/51-52).

Albertus Barber (1-0) earned the win, escaping the top of the 10th without allowing a run.

Trailing 3-1, Lancaster tied the game in the bottom of the 8th with a two-run home run on the 11th pitch of an at bat. The home run, which came off Charlie Ruegger, followed a two-out double by Cole Stobbe. It was Lancaster's second home run of the season with the BlueClaws and third hit of the night.

The BlueClaws threatened in the ninth but Josh Stowers robbed Abrahan Gutierrez of a game-winning hit with the tying run at third to force the 10th inning.

The win was Lakewood's second straight to start their seven-game homestand.

Each team scored in the first inning. Charleston got a run on a Caanan Smith RBI groundout while the BlueClaws got a run on a wild pitch that brought home Jonathan Guzman who had singled and stole second. Charleston took the lead in the fourth on an RBI single from Mickey Gaspar.

BlueClaws starter Dominic Pipkin came out after five innings, allowing two runs, one earned. It was the third time he's finished five innings in a start this year.

Jhordany Mezquita gave up one unearned run over four innings in the win.

Lancaster had three hits for the BlueClaws while Matos and Jonathan Guzman had two.

The teams finish their series on Thursday night at 7:05 pm. RHP Victor Santos (4-7) starts for the BlueClaws opposite RHP Roasny Contreras (6-5).
