Match Preview: San Antonio FC Host Tulsa Roughnecks at Toyota Field on Saturday
April 29, 2016 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
San Antonio FC News Release
SAN ANTONIO, TX - San Antonio FC will host Tulsa Roughnecks FC at Toyota Field on Saturday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. The match will be SAFC's second home match in franchise history after their record sellout during their home opener on April 9.
Coverage of the match will be available for free at SanAntonioFC.com and the USL Match Center.
The club will hope to attract a crowd similar to the maximum-capacity attendance that was present at Toyota Field during club's inaugural home opener against Swope Park Rangers.
San Antonio will look to get back in form after recording a draw and two losses in a string of three away matches, and will aim to earn a positive result this weekend on their home pitch. The team previously recorded a win and two draws in their first three matches of the season.
Tulsa currently sits at the bottom of the western conference table as they come to San Antonio in search of three points after falling to Portland Timbers 2 last week. The team has recorded one win, three losses, and one draw in their 2016 campaign. The match will be the first time the Roughnecks visit Toyota Field, and the first matchup in history between the two clubs.
The Roughnecks have tallied three goals this season, and will be faced with the task of scoring against SAFC goalkeeper Josh Ford, who has recorded 16 saves in only five matches.
The match will be an important one for both squads as they aim to climb up on the league standings. SAFC leads Tulsa by one point in the league table, with five points compared to four, respectively.
