RENO - Reno 1868 FC and Greater Nevada Field will host a friendly between Liverpool FC U21's and Sacramento Republic FC on May 25. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday at 10 a.m. PT. A pre-sale will begin at 7 a.m. today, and fans who have the required promotional code will save $1.75 per ticket through waived Ticket Return fees.
Fans can place their order online, securing a spot to the first-ever soccer match held at Greater Nevada Field.
Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. PT. During their inaugural season, Sacramento Republic FC was crowned as 2014 United Soccer League Champions on their home pitch after they defeated their Eastern Conference counterpart, the Harrisburg City Islanders, 2-0. Liverpool FC U21's are the embodiment of the historical & prolific youth system of the five-time European Cup champion and 18-time Premier League champion, Liverpool FC.
LFC U21's fixtures in California and Nevada are just one element of a program of activity Liverpool FC are delivering in 2016 to bring American fans closer to the Club, with the First Team visiting the USA in July to take part in International Champions Cup (ICC) fixtures against AC Milan and Chelsea FC. In conjunction with the first visit of an English Premier League Club to Nevada, Reno 1868 FC will unveil its crest at halftime.
"We are overjoyed to host one of the world's most decorated football clubs for our first ever professional soccer match at Greater Nevada Field in downtown Reno," said Reno 1868 FC president Eric Edelstein. "By bringing an English Premier League Club to Nevada for the first time, it is time to show the world that Reno is ready for professional soccer."

The team uniform and coaching staff will be announced at a later date. Reno 1868 FC begins play in March of 2017.
