Red Bull New York News Release
HARRISON, N.J. - Two of the Eastern Conference's top squads clash as the New York Red Bulls (7-4-1, 22 pts) travel to face Columbus Crew SC (7-3-5, 26 pts) on Saturday at Mapfre Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. ET with coverage on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, ESPN+ and New York Red Bulls Radio in English on TuneIn.
New York Red Bulls Radio goes live at 4:30 p.m. ET with triHonda Countdown to Kickoff, hosted by Matt Harmon.
After grabbing just one point in the last two league matches, New York was able to bounce back with a decisive 4-0 drumming of NYCFC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Fourth Round match on Wednesday. It was the second year in a row that the Red Bulls bounced NYCFC in the fourth round.
Daniel Royer seems to be heating up on the offensive end after his brace against NYC in the Open Cup. Royer has scored five goals in the last seven matches across all competitions. The Austrian striker, who scored 12 league goals last season, began his hot goal-scoring streak in the beginning of July as he tallied six goals in a four-match stretch during the seventh month.
New York aims to take down another top squad in the Eastern Conference this weekend as Columbus Crew SC currently sit third. The Red Bulls have already taken down both first-place Atlanta United and second-place NYCFC, in league play, by a combined score of 7-1.
New York heads back to Red Bull Arena to host Seattle Sounders FC on Wednesday, June 13 at 8 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG, MSG Go and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish on TuneIn.
