
Match Preview: RailHawks Travel to Ottawa

CARY, NC (July 23, 2015) - The Carolina RailHawks (2W-1D-1L, 7pts.) will travel to Canada to take on the Ottawa Fury FC (3W-1D-0L, 10 pts.) at TD Place on Sunday, July 26th at 3:00 pm ET. The match will be broadcast live on WRAL2 and on the radio at 99.9HD-3 The Ticket.
The RailHawks are looking to carry their current momentum into Sunday's match. The two teams first met for the RailHawks' home opener in the Spring Season, in which the RailHawks beat the Fury FC 3-1. The RailHawks currently sit in third place in the NASL Fall Season standings with seven points. Ottawa Fury FC is currently first in the Fall Season standing with 10 points.
The RailHawks are coming off of a hard fought match after beating the San Antonio Scorpions 3-2 at home Saturday night. Nacho Novo and Neil Hlavaty put on a show against the Scorpions. Novo scored twice and assisted Hlavaty for the other goal as the RailHawks continued their phenomenal season. Novo and Hlavaty were both named to the NASL Team of the Week. Nacho Novo was also honored as the NASL Player of the Week.
Ottawa is coming off a 2-1 win at home against the Atlanta Silverbacks. Carl Haworth opened the scoring with his first goal of the season. Later, a penalty kick conversion from Richie Ryan helped the Canadian side clinch the win and the three points.
The RailHawks will return to WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday, August 1st at 7:30 pm to host Freddy Adu and the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Who to Watch
Nacho Novo was named NASL player of the week and was included on the NASL Team of the Week after an extraordinary performance in a 3-2 win against the San Antonio Scorpions. The Spanish striker sent a brilliant cross to midfielder Neal Hlavaty who ripped the ball home to open the scoring in the 22nd minute and two minutes later, Novo scored a goal of his own to extend the lead. Novo added another goal in the second half to put the match away and finished with two goals and an assist.
