New York Red Bulls News Release
HARRISON, N.J. - Completing the home-and-home series, the New York Red Bulls (13-5-2, 41 pts) and Columbus Crew SC (9-7-6, 33 pts) clash on Saturday at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. with coverage on MSG, MSG GO and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish on TuneIn.
Coverage of Saturday's match on MSG begins at 6:30 p.m. with Honda Red Bulls Game Night. Ed Cohen will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Shep Messing and Michelle Gingras.
New York Red Bulls Radio goes live at 6 p.m. ET with Honda Countdown to Kickoff, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Ernesto Motta will carry the Spanish play-by-play broadcast, beginning at 7 p.m.
Saturday's match up features two of the top Eastern Conference teams. The Red Bulls enter the match tied for the best points per game mark (2.05), goal differential (+21) and wins (13) in MLS. Columbus, sitting fourth, is eight points back of New York and own a 2-5-3 away record.
Bradley Wright-Phillips not only recorded a goal in his third-straight match, but became MLS' fastest player to reach 100 goals in just 159 matches. Wright-Phillips is one goal shy of tallying at least 15 league goals in a season for the fifth consecutive year, which would be the first time in league history.
Kaku's presence on the field continues to help generate offensive chances for New York. The Red Bulls' No. 10 recorded his league-leading 13th assist against D.C. United on Wednesday. Of his 13 assists, Kaku has tallied four game-winning assists, which sits tied for second-best in MLS.
New York remains at Red Bull Arena for a primetime nationally-televised match against LAFC on Sunday, August 5. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. with coverage on FS1, FOX Sports GO and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish on TuneIn.
