Miami comes into this match eager to come out with the three points. Allen Gavilanes remains a key player to be watched alongside Rocco Genzano and Luisinho, following performances against Tampa Bay and South Georgia.

Genzano put away the first goal for the home team on Thursday against Tampa Bay. The Italian had assisted a couple goals thus far, but this was his first ever goal in the USL Championship.

Luisinho also put on a performance during Miami's Open Cup game against South Georgia Tormenta FC, scoring a brace off balls from defender Daltyn Knutson and forward Frank Lopez.

Birmingham, who is currently sitting at 6th on the table, has had a 2-1-2 start to its season with seven points under its belt thus far.

The team comes to Miami off an Open Cup win where they beat USL League One's Chattanooga Red Wolves SC 4-2. All four Birmingham goals came from Stefano Pinho, who clinched the victory for the Alabama team in extra time.
