CARY, NC - The Carolina RailHawks are tied at the top of the NASL standings and look to leap ahead this weekend as they travel to FC Edmonton for a 4PM ET match-up at Clarke Field on Sunday, May 22.

"We have to go and get a result," RailHawks Head Coach Colin Clarke said. "We're sitting with three games and a chance of winning the Spring Championship. We are in a great position and look forward to getting out there on Sunday and putting a performance on."

Coming off a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Miami FC last weekend at home, the RailHawks need to rejuvenate their usual powerhouse offense to secure 3 points away at FC Edmonton.

Carolina dominated Miami FC last weekend particularly at the start of the match with spectacular efforts by Kareem Moses and Alex Perez. Despite their efforts, Miami goalkeeper Daniel Vega kept his team in the game. Carolina's defense contained Miami's offense allowing just 10 shots, none of which were on target.

FC Edmonton is coming off a big win at home, defeating reigning NASL Champion the New York Cosmos 2-1. Edmonton defender Papé Diakité won the NASL Player of the Week award after scoring the winning goal in the 74th minute. On Wednesday, the Eddies defeated Canadian rival Ottawa FC 2-0 in the Amway Canadian Championship. Despite the win, the Eddies were unable to advance to the next round.
