ATLANTA - Atlanta United returns to action Wednesday when it hosts Toronto FC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The match, presented by Chick-Fil-A, is set to kick-off at 7 p.m. ET and will be regionally broadcast on Bally Sports Southeast.

Atlanta owns an all-time record of 1-4-3 against Toronto FC including MLS Playoffs: 1-1-2 at home and 0-3-1 on the road in the series. This will be the first of three matches between the teams during the regular season with the others coming at Toronto on Oct. 16 (7:30 p.m. ET, Bally Sports South) and at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Oct. 30 (6 p.m. ET, Bally Sports South).
Josef Martinez scored in his third consecutive match in Atlanta's 1-0 win against Los Angeles FC on Aug. 15 to bring his total to five goals this season. The Venezuelan striker leads all current Atlanta players in career goals (four) and assists (two) against Toronto. Martinez recorded two assists in Atlanta's 2-0 win against Toronto on May 8, 2019, the only match he's had two assists in his MLS career.
George Bello gained possession eight times against LAFC, the third time this season that he has gained possession at least eight times, with a season-high of nine against Seattle Sounders FC on May 23.
Toronto FC is coming off a 2-1 home loss to New England Revolution on Aug. 14. Jonathan Osorio scored his fourth goal of the season while Yeferson Soteldo picked up his fifth assist, both team-highs for Toronto. The Reds enter Wednesday's match with a 2-7-1 away record in 2021.
