ATL UTD 2 remained unbeaten this season after a 1-1 draw against the defending USL champions Louisville City FC Saturday, April 21. Seventeen-year-old homegrown Andrew Carleton converted a penalty kick in second-half stoppage time for his first professional goal. Louisville took the lead in the 66th minute after a turnover in Atlanta's defensive area. Devon Williams gathered the loose ball and passed it to Cameron Lancaster, who took one touch before firing a right-footed shot into the bottom left corner to give Louisville a 1-0 lead. ATL UTD 2 pushed for an equalizer and got its chance in the final minute of the match after Carleton drew a foul in the penalty area, and then buried his attempt low and to the left.

Charleston Battery is coming off its second straight draw away from home after a 1-1 tie Saturday night against Penn FC at FNB Field. Atualla Guerra scored his second goal of the season in the 72nd minute to put the Battery ahead, but Ken Tribbet equalized for Penn in the dying moments of the match.

Tuesday's match marks the first meeting between Charleston Battery and ATL UTD 2. Charleston served as the USL affiliate for Atlanta United in 2016 and 2017.
