ATL UTD 2 returns to action Wednesday when it hosts Charlotte Independence for the second meeting between the two sides this season. The mid-week clash marks the fourth meeting all-time between Atlanta and Charlotte with each previous match finishing in a draw.

ATL UTD 2 returns home after a 4-0 defeat to Birmingham Legion on Saturday, July 20. Following the postponement of its July 5 match against Charleston Battery, Atlanta will play its first home match since June 15 against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC.

Charlotte enters Wednesday's match unbeaten in seven straight games including four wins during that stretch. The Independence currently sits in 10th place in the Eastern Conference and occupies the final playoff spot.
