OTTAWA - Ottawa Fury FC's captain Carl Haworth has been voted to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 20 of the 2019 season, the league announced Tuesday. Haworth had a highlight-reel-worthy goal and one assist, made three key passes and won 14 of 17 duels in Fury FC's 4-0 victory against the Swope Park Rangers at TD Place.

The longest-serving member of Fury FC, Haworth joined the Ottawa club as the first Canadian signing in November 2013. He has been having one of his best seasons so far, already tallying six goals and five assists in 19 games played. This is also his third Team of the Week selection in 2019, and his spectacular goal is also up for USL Championship Fan's Goal of the Week.

Ottawa Fury FC, led by Haworth, hosts the Halifax Wanderers in the second leg of the Canadian Championship qualifying on Wednesday (KO 7:30 p.m.) looking to punch their ticket for another matchup against Toronto FC in the semi-finals. Fury FC will also travel to Memphis on Saturday (KO 8:30 p.m., OttawaFuryFC.com).
