
Marty Raymond to Participate in Adult Hockey Camp

Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Ice Sports Center has announced it will host an adult hockey camp next week featuring instruction from Condors Head Coach Marty Raymond and other Condors players.
The camp will run from Tuesday, May 11th until Saturday, May 15th at the BISC. It includes over four hours of on-ice instruction with a minimum of one hour per day from Tuesday - Friday with a game on Saturday morning. Each session during the week is scheduled for the evening and a complete schedule is listed below. Raymond will focus on the basics, including skating, stick handling, passing and shooting, as well as drills.
The camp cost $150.00 per person, with goaltenders having a discounted rate of $100.00. Full equipment is required and the cost of the camp includes a jersey. Each participant must also register and pay in full in advance. In addition to Raymond, Condors Assistant Coach Paul Willett and players Paul Rosebush and Quinn Fair will also serve as instructors throughout the week.
The Bakersfield Ice Sports Center the new state-of-the-art ice rink that opened in January, and serves as the official practice facility for the Condors. "I think the camp is going to be a lot of fun," said Raymond. "We'll work on the basics, run drills and do some fun stuff as well. This is the opportunity for everyone in town to learn the game, from hockey parents to people just starting out. I guarantee you will be a better hockey player when I'm through with you."

Season tickets for the 2004-05 Bakersfield Condors season are on sale now by contacting the BSE offices at 324-PUCK (7825). The ECHL schedule will be released after the conclusion of the current season. The ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs are down to the semi-finals. In their best-of-five series, the Idaho Steelheads lead the Gwinnett Gladiators 2-to-1 for the Western Conference crown and the Florida Everblades lead the Reading Royals 2-to-1 in the Eastern Conference finals.
