Lynx To Hold Press Conference

The Augusta Lynx invite all season ticket holders and media to a press conference at the Master's Glen Luxury Apartment Community's Clubhouse, 1040 Alexander Dr. this Thursday, May 6th at 2 pm. There will be a major announcement regarding the team for next year – the Lynx look forward to seeing you there!

Steelheads, Everblades Hold 2-1 Leads

The Idaho Steelheads went down to Georgia and returned home with a split on the road before winning Game Three back in Boise on Saturday night. Meanwhile, Florida opened with a pair of home victories, before Reading jumped back into the series with a 6-0 blanking of the Everblades on home ice in Sunday's Game Three.

Western Conference

Idaho vs. Gwinnett

Idaho Leads 2-1

Getting off to a fast start in the series, Idaho takes a 1-0 lead just 38 seconds into the opening frame of Game One on Brett Draney's marker before Gwinnett's Rick Emmett ties the game at 6:31 of the first period. From there, the Steelheads score three in a row for a 4-1 lead in an eventual 5-3 win. The Gladiators battle back in Game Two behind 48 shots on net and a pair of Chris Durno goals to escape home ice with a split. Back in Idaho for Game Three, Jan Kopecky scores twice to give the Steelheads a 2-0 lead in the second period, before Andrei Vasilyev provided an insurance marker for a 3-1 win. Game Four stays in Idaho this Wednesday night.

Eastern Conference

Florida vs. Reading

Florida Leads 2-1

Reggie Berg scored the only goal of the game for the Everblades while Rob Zepp made 45 saves to blank the Reading Royals 1-0 to kick off the Eastern Conference Final. Game Two was a back and forth affair that had the Everblades up 2-0 before the Royals scored three in a row, including a pair from Brad Church, to make it a 3-2 Royals lead at 2:23 of the third period. Matt Pagnutti would tie the game before Ryan Brindley made it 4-3, and Chad LaRose added his second of the night for insurance to put Florida ahead 2-0 in the series. Back in Reading for Game Three, and with Cody Rudkowsky on recall to the American Hockey League, Steven Belanger made his ECHL debut by stopping 26 shots in a 6-0 Royals pasting of Florida. Graig Mischler's two goals and two assists paced the offense for the Royals who clawed back into the series at 2-1 with Game Four coming in Reading on Wednesday night.
