Rivermen Continue Partnership with Fox Sports Radio 1290

Peoria, Ill. (May 3, 2004) â Director of Broadcasting Norm Ulrich of the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL announced today that the team will continue its partnership with JMP Radio Group's Fox Sports Radio 1290 AM, making it the Rivermen broadcast radio home for the 2004-2005 season.
The Rivermen broadcasts will include coverage on FOX Sports Radio 1290 AM (WWFS) and the Rivermen Web site (www.rivermen.net).
Ulrich said the continued partnership comes with Central Illinois' sports radio leader.
"FOX Sports Radio is our home on the radio dial for Rivermen broadcasts," said Ulrich. "They set the tone for sports play-by-play in the area, and we're proud of our association. JMP Radio presents Rivermen hockey with the utmost professionalism, and we look forward to the upcoming year."
JMP Radio Group Program Director (WMBD 1470 AM, WWFS 1290 AM) John Malone said the Rivermen are a community staple.
"They are a premier sports organization in our Central Illinois Community that creates a first class product on and off the ice," Malone said. "We believe it's extremely beneficial to have the Rivermen in our sports line-up."
Season ticket packages for 2004-2005 are on sale now. Ticket packages start at just $299. The Peoria Rivermen are a member of the ECHL â America's Premier "AA" Hockey League.
