
Marshall Returned from AHL; Game Preview: Nailers at Cyclones

WHEELING, WV ¬" The Wheeling Nailers announced Tuesday that forward David Marshall has been returned on loan from the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League. Marshall is expected to be in the lineup tonight when Nailers take on the Cyclones at US Bank Arena in Cincinnati.
Marshall has appeared in 16 games this season with the Nailers posting 11 points (7g, 4a). Marshall returns to Wheeling after being loaned to the Rochester Americans, and then the Worcester Sharks. The 25-year old native of Buffalo, MN, scored two goals in nine games with Rochester, while posting a goal and an assist in 12 games with Worcester.
Prior to Wheeling he was a four year starter at Quinnipiac University, while splitting time with the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL) and the Charlotte Checkers (ECHL) last season.
Tonight's Game: Wheeling Nailers (20-15-0-2) at Cincinnati Cyclones (16-14-5-2), 7:35 p.m.
Season Series: Wheeling leads 4-3
About Tonight's Game: The Nailers travel to the Queen City to battle the Cyclones for the third time in as many games. Wheeling took the first game of the week, with a 6-3 win on Friday at US Bank Arena, while the Cyclones returned the favor on Saturday, defeating the Nailers 3-2 in front of a crowd at 4,263 at WesBanco Arena. Wheeling enters the game with a three point lead over the Cyclones for first place in the North Division. Nick Petersen and Ben Street have combined for 28 points in seven games against the Cyclones this season. Cyclones forward Mathiey Aubin has scored three goals in the last two games against the Nailers.
