Case Traded to Idaho to Complete Dickson Trade

The Gladiators have traded defenseman Matt Case to the Idaho Steelheads to complete the trade that brought forward John-Scott Dickson to Gwinnett on January 4th.

In 38 games this season with the Gladiators, Case has earned three points (one goal, two assists) and has recorded 14 penalty minutes with Gwinnett.

Case skated with the Ferris State Bulldogs last season. He earned 17 points (four goals, 13 assists) in 40 games. The defenseman played two games in the American Hockey League with the Norfolk Admirals last year following his senior season. In two AHL games, Case posted one assist.

The Plymouth, Minnesota, native played four seasons at Ferris State from 2005-2010. The 6-foot, 185-pound defenseman recorded 47 points (11 goal, 36 assists) in 144 career collegiate games.

Dickson joined Gwinnett on January 4th and has earned one assist in seven games with the Gladiators. He recorded 16 points (six goals, 10 assists) in 27 games with Idaho before being acquired by Gwinnett.

The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
