Grand Rapids Rampage News Release

Grand Rapids Rampage WR/DB Timon Marshall's performance in the team's 66-52 win over the SaberCats has been recognized as the Arena Football League Writers Association's Player of the Week and ArenaFan.com's Two-Way Player of the Week.

Marshall (5'09," 188 lbs., Ottawa) compiled career highs in all-purpose yards (262), kickoff return yards (181), total touchdowns (3) and tackles (4.5) against the SaberCats. The Jamaica native returned six kickoffs for 181 yards (eighth most in team history); including the longest scoring play in franchise history on a 58-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. He also caught four passes for 81 yards with touchdown strikes of 40 and 29 yards. On defense, Marshall had 4.5 tackles.

This marks the second time in team history that a Rampage player has been named AFLWA Player of the Week (Michael Bishop earned the same honor exactly one year ago today for his 412 total yard performance in a losing effort against Austin).

Marshall was a candidate for ArenaFan.com's Offensive Player of the Week as well as the AFL's Offensive Player of the Week and Ironman of the Week.

The Rampage (2-2) heads off for three-straight road contests starting this Saturday, February 25 at Nashville when it takes on the Central Division-leading Kats (3-1). Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m. and the game can be heard live on WBFX 101.3 FM.

All Rampage home games are played at Centennial Wireless Field at Van Andel Arena. Tickets are available through StarTicketsPLUS (1.800.585.3737), all Michigan Meijer locations, at The Zone (located on the west side of Van Andel Arena) or by clicking here.
