Toronto Marlies News Release
The Toronto Marlies closed out their three and three weekend with a game against the Utica Comets, emerging with a 2-1 victory. Toronto would score two goals in the first, including a shorthanded effort from Byron Froese which would be all that goaltender Christopher Gibson would need, turning away 17 shots in the third period to secure the win and the game's first star.
The Marlies look to continue their pursuit of playoff spot with a Wednesday night contest at Ricoh Coliseum against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at marlies.ca/tickets or by calling 416-597-PUCK (7825).
