Mariscal Delivers Game-Winning RBI as Travs Get Clutch Late

North Little Rock, AR-In a game that was scoreless for the first five innings, the Arkansas Travelers (22-22) utilized clutch two out hits late in the game to defeat the Midland RockHounds (21-24), 4-2 on Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. It was the third consecutive victory for the Travs and the fourth straight loss for the Hounds. Chris Mariscal drove in the eventual winning run on a night where he was a perfect 4-4 at the plate. Both starters pitched six innings but did not factor in the decision. Midland's Kyle Friedrichs allowed two runs on seven hits while Arkansas' Chase De Jong was touched for just one run on four hits while striking out a season high seven. The Travs missed some early scoring opportunities, stranding seven runners over the first four innings and finished the game just 3-13 with runners in scoring position.

Moments That Mattered

* Midland opened the scoring in the sixth inning when J.P. Sportman raced home on a fielder's choice groundout by Eli White.

* Beau Amaral delivered a key two out, two RBI single to put the Travs in front in the bottom of the sixth.

* Tyler Marincov tied the game in top of the seventh with an RBI double.

* Mariscal would put Arkansas back on top with his two out single in the bottom of the seventh that scored Braden Bishop. After Mariscal stole second and moved to third when the throw got away, Logan Taylor followed with an RBI double to pad the lead.
