Marauders Celebrate Military Appreciation Night

Bradenton, Fla. - The Bradenton Marauders, High-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, today announced that they will host their annual Military Appreciation Night at McKechnie Field on June 11th sponsored by Goodwill Manasota and Miller High Life. The night will feature a pre-game parachute demonstration onto the field by the Para-Commandos and a mass swear-in of new recruits by the United States Army. Gates will open at 5:30pm and the Marauders game vs. the Tampa Yankees begins at 6:30pm.

Sport Clips' Bradenton and Sarasota stores are offering free tickets to active and veteran military service members for the June 11th game. Stop by their stores while supplies last to take advantage of the offer; no purchase is necessary.

The first 1,000 fans through the gates on June 11th will receive a Military Heroes Card Set giveaway. The Card Set will feature 20 local Military Heroes who will be honored for their service to their country on the field during a special pre-game ceremony.

June 11th is also Craft Beer Night. Individuals age 21 and over have the opportunity to purchase a special Craft Beer sampling package for $30 which includes a game ticket, Marauders sampling mug, and ten 5oz Craft Beer samples. A portion of the Craft Beer sampling ticket sales will be donated to VFW's Sport Clips Help a Hero Scholarship Program in recognition of Military Appreciation Night.

The McKechnie Field box office hours are Tuesday-Friday non-gamedays from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. On gamedays the box office will be open on weekdays from 11:00 a.m. until the end of the game and on weekends from two hours before first pitch until the end of the game.
