Friday, Nov. 2: Chicago 4 at Manitoba 5

After the Moose and Wolves traded two power play goals each, Manitoba rattled off three at even strength to build a 5-2 advantage. Chicago climbed back into the game by calling its goalie to the bench with over 10 minutes remaining and scoring twice with the extra attacker. The Moose dug in their heels and halted the comeback to secure the win. Seth Griffith racked up four points (1G, 3A) while Luke Green scored his first professional goal in the victory.

Saturday, Nov. 3: Chicago 4 at Manitoba 1

The Wolves scored twice in the first period, and made it 3-0 early in the second. Seth Griffith stayed hot, getting the Moose within two less than four minutes into the third. Winnipegger Brooks Macek scored his second of the night to put the game away for Chicago.

In a rematch of their 2018 Calder Cup Playoff series, the Moose host the Grand Rapids Griffins Thursday (7 p.m.) and Saturday (6 p.m.). Saturday's contest is Retro Night, when the Moose will sport classic jerseys and Bell MTS Place will transform in a salute to seasons past. Racking Up the Points

Forward Seth Griffith had a five-point (2G, 3A) weekend against the Chicago Wolves. His four-point night on Friday marked the sixth time in his AHL career Griffith has recorded four or more points in a contest. Griffith previously tallied at least four points Feb. 16, 2018 with a five-point (2G, 3A) game for Rochester against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Griffith ranks second on the Moose with nine points (3G, 5A) in 11 games this season.

Long-Time Rivals

Friday's matchup between the Moose and Wolves marked the 110th time the two clubs have faced off going back to their IHL days. After the weekend, Manitoba holds a 48-49-5-8 record through 111 clashes between the old foes. In AHL action, the Moose are 33-24-5-4 against Chicago through 64 meetings. This week, the Moose welcome another IHL rival in the Grand Rapids Griffins. The teams have battled 93 times in their history, with Manitoba posting a 36-43-9-5 record going back to the IHL. The Moose and Griffins have also faced off in 23 playoff games, with the Moose claiming the latest matchup in a five-game series in 2018.

Green Means Go

Rookie defenceman Luke Green found the scoresheet in his third game of the season on Friday. The Bedford, N.S. product scored the game-winning goal and added an assist for his first professional goal and multi-point game. Green's first professional point came back on April 9, 2017 when he recorded an assist against the Tucson Roadrunners on a late-season amateur tryout.

Berdin Reassigned

The Moose announced today the Winnipeg Jets have reassigned goaltender Mikhail Berdin to the Jacksonville Icemen. During his call-up with the Moose, Berdin went 3-0-0 with a 1.92 goals-against average and a 0.941 save percentage. The Ufa, Russia native has similar numbers with Jacksonville, sporting a 3-0-0 record to go with a 1.98 goals-against average and a 0.934 save percentage.

Veteran defenceman Cameron Schilling was a regular in the assist column this weekend. The Carmel, Ind. native posted three helpers in two games against Chicago. Schilling notched his first multi-point game of the season on Friday with two assists. He is tied for the Moose lead in points among defenders with five assists on the campaign. Schilling tallied a career-high 26 assists during the 2017-18 season.
