Manitoba Moose Post-Game Report - Manitoba vs. Iowa Wild - March 7

Goals:

- Off a faceoff, as Eric Comrie goes to poke check the puck away, Iowa's Marc Hagel intercepts the puck and beats Comrie with just 0.5 seconds remaining in the second period.

- After Comrie makes a terrific diving save, the puck deflects up and hits Guillaume Gelinas in the face and as it drops to his feet he swats it into the net at 2:58 of the third period while on the powerplay.

- During a scramble out front Patrice Cormier grabs the loose puck and puts it past Leland Irving with 1:29 remaining in the third period.

Highlights/Notes:

- Patrice Cormier scored his 12th goal of the season. He now has three goals in five games against the Wild this season, the most on the team.

- Austen Brassard recorded an assist to hit the 30 point mark for the first time in his AHL career. He has three goals and four assists for seven points in his last five games.

- Chase De Leo registered an assist and now sits alone with the team lead in scoring with 32 points (15G, 17A). He currently sits 18th among AHL rookies in scoring.

- The Moose streak of scoring at least one powerplay goal ended at five games. In their last 13 games the Moose powerplay has gone 11-for-45 for a success rate of 24.4%.

- Eric Comrie allowed just two goals on 29 shots and was named the game's third star. It was the 27th time Comrie has made 25+ saves this season.

- Six of the last seven Manitoba losses have been by just one goal.

- The Moose now have a 1-3-0-1 record against the Wild this season. The two teams will play once more in Winnipeg (Mar. 9) and twice more in Iowa (Mar. 30/Apr. 1) in the season series.

- All five games of the season series between the Moose and Wild this season have been decided by one goal.

The Moose will host the Iowa Wild for the final time at the MTS Centre this season on Wednesday, Mar. 9 at 7 p.m.
