Manitoba Moose Moose Sign Michael Spacek

Winnipeg, MB - The Manitoba Moose announced today the team has signed forward Michael Spacek to an amateur tryout agreement. Spacek, 19, is coming off his second season in the WHL with the Red Deer Rebels. He paced the Rebels in scoring this season with 85 points (30G, 55A) in 59 games, good for 17th in the WHL. Spacek led the WHL in scoring through the first round of the playoffs, totaling 12 points (4G, 8A) in seven games. The Pardubice, Czech Republic native totaled 139 points (48G, 91A) in 120 WHL games. Spacek represented the Czech Republic at the World Junior Championship the past three years, posting nine points (3G, 6A) in 15 tournament games. Spacek was a fourth round pick, 108th overall, of the Winnipeg Jets in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. The Moose also announced the team has released forwards Adam Pleskach, Phil Brewer and Rob Flick from their professional tryouts.
