The National Lacrosse League announced today that four-year veteran Jed Prossner has been named the league's Week #14 Transition Player of the Week. Prossner scored a game-high four goals and one assist Saturday night against the Calgary Roughnecks in a one-goal loss.

The Easton, Maryland native attributes his increased production to his ability to push the ball up the field, creating unsettled situations.

Prossner is fast becoming an offensive threat, having already surpassed his output from last season by five goals. He currently ranks fourth on the Mammoth squad in goals with 20 thus far.

Even with this week's award, Prossner is quick to admit his real goal for this season.

"It's a nice honor," said Prossner. "But it would be nicer to win a championship."

With only two regular-season games remaining, sneaking into the playoffs will be a tall order, but Prossner feels he has a solid game-plan for the Mammoth.

"We just need to go in there, contribute our best, work hard and things will be good," said Prossner. "If we play together as a team, we will be fine."

Colorado is currently one game back of the Minnesota Swarm for the fourth and final playoff spot in the West Division.

The Mammoth returns home this Friday, April 16 at 7pm as it takes on the Boston Blazers at Pepsi Center on Animal Lovers' Night. Tickets are on sale now.
