DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth has announced that veteran forward Brian Langtry has been selected to the Team USA Roster for the U.S. Men's National Indoor Lacrosse Team. Recently acquired transition player, Jarett Park, has also been selected to the team as a reserve.

Following tryouts in Wayne, NJ, Syracuse, NY and Baltimore, MD, the final USA roster was set and announced on Monday, November 16.

Langtry, no newcomer to national recognition in his sport, will join four veterans from the 2006 team that finished third in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He's looking for some personal redemption. "I have only played for my country one other time, and that was the Heritage Cup. In that game I played like garbage, so I would like to redeem myself. I believe we have a formidable roster, and I fully expect to compete with the more established box lacrosse teams like Canada and the Iroquois," said the Mammoth forward.

"Having a player like Brian Langtry represent Team USA is a special honor," said Mammoth head coach Bob Hamley. "Mammoth fans get to watch this outstanding and extremely talented player each night. Now the rest of the world will get to witness his skills."

Park, acquired from the Orlando Titans in the dispersal draft held this past August, is a two-time member of the NLL East All-Star team. Expected to make an immediate impact in Colorado in 2011, Park hopes to get the opportunity to showcase his talents on Team USA as well. Five players from the reserve list will be chosen to the world team roster in February.

"Park has proven that he can play at the highest level in the NLL and we are looking forward to him bringing that experience, not only to the Mammoth, but now to Team USA as well," said Hamley.

The World Indoor Lacrosse Championship takes place at Telsa Arena in Prague, Czech Republic May 21-28, 2011. Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, England, Finland, Ireland and the Iroquois Nationals will join the United States in the one-week tournament.
