July 20, 2005 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth has selected veteran defenseman Bill Greer in the National Lacrosse League's dispersal draft.
Last season, Greer, a 6'1", 190-pound native of Whitby, Ontario, recorded 17 points (3 g, 14a, 17 pts) and collected 63 loose balls.
"We're very excited to have Bill," Colorado Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "He's a great two-way player and good with loose balls."
Greer has spent four seasons in the NLL. He was traded to Anaheim from Arizona mid-season last year, after spending a season in Arizona and two with the now-defunct Columbus Landsharks.
Greer attended the University of Western Ontario.
The Mammoth released Paul Gait in order to make room for Greer on the team's 23-man roster.
Players were made available in the dispersal draft following the suspension of play by the Anaheim Storm. The expansion Edmonton Rush selected defenseman Rory Glaves with the first pick
